New Paintings by Henry Barnes

Reception with artist is Friday Feb 12 -from 6-9.

We've been repping Mr Barnes for 12 years -still love his work, still sell him like crazy -can't wait to see what comes in on Thursday! Hopefully, Henry and I can get a chance to drop by the new Bechtler Museum. That end of Tryon Street is getting very Jazzy. We saw the first performance at the Knight Theatre -yes Steve Martin can play the banjo! View and sound from the back of the orchestra are outstanding. Going to see Alvin Ailey troup next week.

We are also thrilled to be donating a painting by Cassandra Gillens to the new Gantt Center -we've had the meeting with Carolyn Mints and David Taylor and they are very interested. Ms Gillens' interactive coloring books and notecards will also be available in their museum shop! Ms Gillens work has been featured in Southern Living Magazine and the movie Nights in Rodanthe. Our artists seem to have a number of "film credits"!

What a great night to go "Into the Park."

Thursday, May 14th was a gorgeous Spring night to debut new collections by Geoffrey Johnson and Kim Scheussler under the bandshell at SouthPark. Proceeds from the art sales went to support the Charlotte Symphony, and having NASCAR's Jimmie and Chandra Johnson among the 240 attendees added to the excitement.
